Work in progress

A behind the scenes look at our current work in progress projects. Each a unique find, with a specific sporting story in mind, engineered to Retro Sporting levels.

Porsche 924 Turbo

1980 / 2024 WIP RALLY CAR

Undergoing restoration and race modification at our partner workshop in Finland – the home of rally driving. Inspired by the innovation and style of Porsche 924 rally cars, driven by legends like Walter Röhrl. Period correct to the early 1980s, our commitment to detail extends to bespoke components made for us by the same suppliers that worked on the original historic race cars.

Ford Capri V6

1973 / 2024 WIP RACE CAR

Having tracked down our 1973 car, we transported it to our workshop in California, where the work now starts in creating a retro modified racer inspired by the Ford Capri RS2600 Weslake, of the same build year. Powered by a 2.6 litre V6 engine, there’s great excitement within our team for when this car is ready for it’s first test laps.

Lancia Fulvia HF Barchetta F&M

1970 / 2024 WIP ‘F&M’ RALLY REPLICA

A replica build in homage to the racing ‘Barchettas’ of 1969, that saw three Fulvia 1.6 HF coupes stripped of their roof, interior comforts, and 28cm of the rear body, to create a lightweight single seat rally racer. Tagged with the ‘F&M’ initials of Lancia team manager Cesare Fiorio and driver Claudio Maglioli. The following images and sketches are from the extensive research used to inform our restoration process.
